How does the ndis commission monitor service providers?

The NDIS Commission oversees the compliance of their obligations by suppliers through periodic audits, the monitoring of incidents and restrictive practices of suppliers, the submission of reports to the Commission, the evaluation of NDIS workers, and the adoption of measures in response to complaints against suppliers and workers. The NDIA will also detect and investigate allegations of fraud. The National Disability Insurance System Quality and Safeguards Commission (“NDIS Commission”) is an independent body established to improve and monitor the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. As the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission comes into force across Australia, participants will see changes in the complaints process and in the way restrictive and behavioral support practices are managed.
For the first time, the NDIS Commission brings together several quality and safeguards functions in a single agency, with a set of educational and regulatory powers that apply across Australia.
